The BD Vacutainer 366668 is a 3 mL serum tube with a conventional red closure — no Hemogard shield, just the standard rubber stopper. The spray-dried clot activator (silica, PVP, L-720) coats the tube wall and gets clot formation moving quickly after the draw. It's a smaller volume than the 4 mL version, which makes it a good fit when you need serum but don't need a full draw.
