Securing a catheter at an awkward or high-movement site takes more than a standard flat dressing. The Contour SorbaView® Shield is designed specifically for those situations — its contoured shape conforms naturally to the body, while the integrated securement system holds the catheter firmly in place without the need for a separate device.

The built-in delnet webbing anchors the dressing to the patient's skin, resisting multi-directional tugging forces that can loosen a standard dressing during routine movement or repositioning. The nonsensitizing adhesive keeps the dressing securely in place for extended wear — up to 7 days on central lines and up to 96 hours for peripheral catheters, or until clinically indicated.

The transparent window barrier allows continuous visual assessment of the insertion site without disturbing the dressing, while the breathable film helps protect against external bacteria. A patient label on the back of the Shield makes site identification quick and easy for your team. For sites with BIOPATCH protective discs or bulky needles, the adhesive-free zone ensures the dressing won’t stick where it shouldn’t.

The 50-count case keeps your supply room stocked and reduces reorder frequency for high-volume units.
